Marcoleta to undergo medical examination at UP-PGH
Senator Rodante Marcoleta is on his way to the UP Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) in Manila to undergo a medical examination.
According to Mark Makalalad's Super Radyo dzBB report on Tuesday, Marcoleta used a wheelchair and wore a protective vest.
“Nilalatag natin is commensurate, whether puwedeng sa threat, tao o we do not want anything to happen to the senator, especially while undergoing the custody and care of the PNP,” the PNP General Hospital said.
(What we are laying down is commensurate, whether it could be a threat, a person or we do not want anything to happen to the senator, especially while undergoing the custody and care of the PNP.)
“Obvious naman po ‘yung vest. Protection po sa kaniya ‘yan. We plan for any eventuality, lahat ng contingency pinagpaplanuhan natin for personal protection ng ating senador,” it added.
(The vest is obvious. It was for his protection. We plan for any eventuality, we plan for all contingencies for the personal protection of our senator.)
According to a separate Super Radyo dzBB report by Manny Vargas, Marcoleta's checkup at the UP-PGH lasted just over an hour. He reportedly left at about 1:08 p.m.
Marcoleta's convoy returned to the PNP General Hospital at about past 1:30 p.m., assisted by the PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and the Manila Police District.

The Sandiganbayan has ordered the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and officers of the PNP General Hospital to bring Marcoleta to the Philippine General Hospital.
The anti-graft court's Third Division instructed the police to bring Marcoleta to the PGH at 12 p.m.
The police were told to return Marcoleta to the PNP hospital after the medical examination at the PGH and present him before the court on Wednesday.
Marcoleta is in detention for a P75-million plunder case over his undeclared campaign donations. Two days after his arrest, the PNPGH diagnosed Marcoleta with mild pneumonia and degenerative disc disease.
