Rodante Marcoleta surrenders, brought to Camp Crame over P75-M plunder case
Senator Rodante Marcoleta was brought to Camp Crame on Monday morning after he surrendered amid the issuance of an arrest warrant in connection with the P75-million plunder case filed against him.
Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group chief Major General Robert Alexander Morico II arrived at the Sandiganbayan.
Marcoleta rode a Philippine National Police coaster bus, which will bring him to the CIDG office to undergo the booking process.

In an interview with reporters before leaving Sandiganbayan, the senator said he already anticipated the issuance of an arrest warrant and expressed readiness to face it.
“‘Pag punta ko rito, inaasahan ko na lahat ang mga prosesong gagawin ng korte. Kagaya ng sinabi ko sa inyo, ako ay hindi magtatago, haharapin ko ang batas, ang asunto, sang ayon sa pagkakaintindi ko sa mga batas natin,” he said.
(When I came here, I was prepared for all the court processes involved. As I told you, I will not go into hiding, I will face the law and the case, in accordance with my understanding of our laws.)
“Kaya kailangan pong dumaan ng proseso, kasama na po ‘yung pagpunta ko rito, ‘yung hangarin ko na kung i-serve po nila ‘yung warrant of arrest, tatanggapin ko po ‘yun,” he added.
(That’s why the process must be followed, that’s why I came here, with the intention that if they serve the warrant of arrest, I will accept it.)
Marcoleta went to the Sandiganbayan Third Division earlier in the day to attend the hearing on the P75-million plunder case filed against him over his undeclared campaign donation that the lawmaker received for his 2025 senatorial bid.
The senator was also seen blowing a flying kiss inside a vehicle before leaving the Sandiganbayan for Camp Crame to undergo the booking process.
He filed several motions but the anti-grant court has already found probable cause, which resulted in the issuance of an arrest warrant. —with Giselle Ombay/AOL/RF, GMA News
