LTFRB: Discounts for PWD, senior, students applied during Holy Week

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has announced that discounts for students, persons with disabilities, and senior citizens are still applicable during the Holy Week.

In a public advisory, the LTFRB said this is in compliance with Republic Act Nos. 11314 and 10754.

“Ngayong Semana Santa 2025, ipinapaalala ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) na ang mga estudyante, senior citizens, at persons with disability (PWDs) ay may 20% diskwento sa pamasahe sa lahat ng mga pampublikong transportasyon,” the regulatory body said in a Facebook post.

(This Holy Week 2025, the LTFRB is reminding the public that students, senior citizens, and PWDs are entitled to 20% fare discount in all public transportation.)

The LTFRB also advised passengers to show their school ID, senior citizen ID, or PWD ID to avail of the discount.

It likewise emphasized that student discounts are valid during holidays, semestral break, and weekends.

Further, the LTFRB said that operators, not drivers, should shoulder the cost of discount in compliance with LTFRB Memorandum Circular 2025-010.

Any complaints and concerns regarding these discounts may be raised with LTFRB through its 24/7 Viber Hotline 09567610739 and official Facebook page. —Hana Bordey/AOL, GMA Integrated News
