Alyansa 'intact' despite individual endorsements from nat'l, local execs —Tiangco

The 11-man senatorial line-up of the Marcos administration is "intact" despite individual endorsements from various national and local officials, Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas' campaign manager and Navotas Representative Toby Tiangco said Monday.
"The five-party Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas composed of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), Lakas-CMD, National People’s Coalition (NPC), National Unity Party (NUP), and Nacionalista Party (NP) is intact," Tiangco said in a statement.
For Tiangco, administration candidates receiving "overwhelming support" both at the national and local level is "something that we welcome and we are proud of."
"[B]ecause politics is about addition, not division. It is about building coalitions. And in any election every bit of support counts... Ang bawat pag-endorso na makukuha ng bawat kandidato ng Alyansa ay patunay na pagtango at pagyakap sa Bagong Pilipinas na isinusulong ng ating Pangulo (Every endorsement for an Alyansa candidate if proof of public approval of the Bagong Pilipinas being advanced by the President). And that is what matters most," he said.
Tiangco's statement came after photos of Alyansa senatorial bet and Las Piñas Representative Camille Villar — apparently in an endorsement shoot with Vice President Sara Duterte and her father, former Senate Presdient Manny Villar — made rounds online.
GMA News Online asked Villar's camp to confirm the photos, but they have yet to respond as of posting time.
Meanwhile, the camp of Vice President Duterte said they will issue a statement after the Holy Week.
The Alyansa campaign manager's statement was also released after Governor Gwen Garcia of the vote-rich Cebu province endorsed nine senatorial bets under the administration slate.
In her recent rallies, Garcia endorsed the candidacies of former senators Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Vicente "Tito" Sotto, reelectionist Sen. Pia Cayetano, Villar, and outgoing Makati City Mayor Abby Binay.
As early as March, Garcia expressed support to four Alyansa senatorial bets— former Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos, former Senator Manny Pacquiao, and reelectionist Senators Francis Tolentino and Bong Revilla.
Reelectionist Senator Imee Marcos, who withdrew from the administration slate, is now running political advertisements showing photos with the Dutertes.
