Northern Samar officials express support to Bam Aquino in Eleksyon 2025

Local officials of Northern Samar province endorsed Bam Aquino’s re-election bid in the May 12 senatorial race on Monday.

Governor Edwin Ongchuan welcomed the former lawmaker in his house during the latter’s visit to the province. 

Also welcoming Aquino were Vice Governor Clarence Dato, Congressmen Paul Daza and Harris Ongchuan, and board members On-On Dubongco at Jing Layon.

More than 20 mayors in the province were also present during the luncheon meeting to express support for Aquino's candidacy. 

“Noong una kong pagtakbo, nag-top tayo dito. First time po noong 2013. And in 2019, yung pinakamahirap kong pagtakbo, kasi iyon po iyong panahon nasa oposisyon po ako, number four rin po tayo dito. At di ko po makakalimutan iyon,” said Aquino. 

(When I first ran, we came out on top here. The first time was in 2013. And in 2019, my most difficult senatorial bid, because that time I was in the opposition, we were also number four here. And I will never forget that.) 

Kiko Pangilinan visits Antipolo 

Meanwhile, former senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan visited Antipolo City where he was welcomed by Mayor Jun Ynares. 

Pangilinan also visited the International Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage to “seek divine blessing and protection.” He was prayed over by Rev. Fr. Yohann, OMV, and had his vehicle blessed as well. 

"Ngayong nasa huling limang linggo na tayo ng kampanya at umiigting na ang ating pag-iikot, lalo't higit na kailangan natin ang gabay at proteksyon ng ating Panginoon," Pangilinan said.
