MRT 3, LRT 1, LRT 2, PNR to suspend ops on Holy Week 2025

The Metro Rail Transit 3, both lines of the Light Rail Transit, and Philippine National Railways announced the suspension of their operations during the Holy Week to also give way to their annual maintenance activities.
In an advisory, the MRT 3 management said that operations will be suspended on Maundy Thursday, April 17, until Easter Sunday, April 20. Normal operations will resume on Monday, April 21.
“MRT-3 will resume its normal operations on Monday, April 21, with its first train trips scheduled at 4:30 am from North Avenue Station, and 5:05 am from Taft Avenue Station,” the advisory read.
Likewise, operations at LRT 1 and LRT 2 are also temporarily suspended from April 17 to 20 for maintenance works.
“All LRT-1 trains will undergo thorough testing and inspection before the normal operation of the entire line resumes on 21 April 2025 (Monday),” said LRT-1 management.

Meanwhile, the LRT-2 management said that its regular operations will also resume on April 21 at 5:00 a.m.

In a separate advisory, PNR said it will be conducting annual rolling stock and engineering maintenance activities from April 17 to 20.
The affected routes are:
- Calamba to Lucena
- Naga to Sipocot
- Naga to Legazpi
It will resume regular operations on April 21, Monday.
