Ballsy Aquino campaigns for cousin Bam; Kiko gets backing of Batangas officials

Ballsy Aquino-Cruz, daughter of the late Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino, Jr. and former President Cory Aquino, on Friday campaigned for her cousin, former Senator Bam Aquino’s Senate bid in the 2025 elections.

Ballsy joined other supporters in a visit to Tarlac public market where they distributed campaign materials and engaged vendors and customers.

Aside from Ballsy, also present during the market run campaign stop in Tarlac were Bam’s wife Timi, brother PV, and cousin Jackie.

“Bata pa lang si Bam, importante sa kanya ang edukasyon. Siya ay nagtrabaho nang maigi, nagtapos ng grade school, high school at college ng valedictorian. Nagtapos siya ng Summa Cum Laude at Management Engineering ang kanyang tinapos,” Ballsy said.

(Since he was a child, education has always been important for Bam. He studied hard and finished valedictorian in grade school, high school and college. He earned his Management Engineering college degree with Summa Cum Laude distinction.)

“Noong siya’y naging senador, pinagtrabaho niya na magkaroon tayo ng libreng edukasyon para sa mga gustong magpunta sa college. Marami pang maitutulong si Bam para sa ating lahat. Kaya sana po, ibalik natin siya sa Senado,” dagdag pa niya.

(When he became a Senator, Bam fought for free college education so that other students will have the same opportunity to get a college degree and excel. He can craft more laws that will benefit the country, so I am hoping that you will help us reelect him in the Senate.)

Aquino’s ally and former Senator Kiko Pangilinan, meanwhile, got the endorsement of the local officials of Batangas province, the province with the seventh highest number of voters in the country with over 1.9 million.

Those who endorsed Pangilinan’s 2025 Senate bid include: Lemery Mayor Ian Alilio, Batangas City Mayor Beverley Dimacuha and Batangas Fifth District Rep. Marvey Mariño.

“Good morning. We are here with our very brilliant Senator, Kiko Pangilinan,” Alilio said in his endorsement message after raising the hand of Pangilinan and doing the “Kiko” hand sign.
