6,147 pass medical technologists licensure exam; Velez grad on top

A graduate of Velez College achieved the highest score in the medical technologists licensure examination held last month.

According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), 6,147 out of 7,659 test takers passed the exam, given by the Board of Medical Technology at test centers in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga in March.

Jherry Andrei Dellica Arbotante of Velez College was the highest scorer with a 92.30% result, while the top performing school with 50 or more test takers was Notre Dame of Marbel University, with all 57 of its examinees passing.

"The result of examination with respect to one (1) examinee was withheld pending final determination of his/her liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations," the PRC added.
