Comelec completes printing of voter’s information sheets for Eleksyon 2025

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has completed the printing of 68 million voter’s information sheets (VIS) for Eleksyon 2025.

Latest data from Comelec showed the National Printing Office (NPO) printed a total of 68,431,965 VIS as of Friday, March 28 — the number of local registered voters for the upcoming May polls.

“Ngayong araw na to tinatapos natin ang pagiimprenta ng 68 million na (VIS). ‘Yan din po ang bilang ng botante sa buong bansa,” said poll chief George Erwin Garcia.

(We completed the printing of the 68 million VIS today. That’s also the number of local registered voters.)

A VIS contains the voter’s name and address, as well as instructions and reminders on how to cast ballots. The form likewise includes the list of national and local candidates and 155 party-lists for the 2025 NLE.  The poll body is targeting to start its distribution in April.

“Gusto ko lang ipaalala sa mga kababayan natin, dapat makatanggap kayo sa local Comelec ninyo at hindi sa barangay sapagkat hindi natin ito pinapadaan sa mga barangay,” said Garcia.

(We would like to remind the voters that they need to receive this from the Comelec and not from the barangay.)

“Kami mismo ay nag-hire ng mga tauhan na magsisilbi at magpapatanggap nito sa inyo,” he said.

(We hired personnel particularly for the distribution.)

Earlier, the Comelec chief said the poll body also created a task force for the distribution to prevent it from being “politicized”.

“Sa halip na kukuha kayo ng sample ballots mula sa mga namimigay…Maganda ito na lang ang dalhin natin sa mga presinto. Ito ang pinaka-kodigo natin para dyan natin kokopyahin ang mga kandidato na iboboto,” said Garcia.

(It’s better to bring the VIS as a guide than to receive a sample ballot.)

“Kapag may ganito kayo na dala-dala, hindi ito kukumpiskahin sa inyo. Hindi ito iku-question kahit ng watcher dahil galing ito sa Comelec,” said Garcia.

(If you bring this, it will not be confiscated. It will also not be questioned by the watchers.)
