UP Diliman still top PH university —EduRank


The University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman remained the top university out of 229 universities in the country, according to EduRank.

EduRank is an independent, metric-based ranking of universities worldwide. It analyzes higher education institutions based on research output, non-academic reputation, and the impact of recognized alumni.

According to its ranking on March 2, UP Diliman figured in the 366th spot out of 5,830 universities from Asia. 

It placed 1,348 out of 14,131 universities worldwide.

UP Diliman also obtained the 1,468th spot in non-academic prominence and is part of the top 50% across 96 research topics. It has 89 notable alumni.

In 2024, it ranked first among the universities in the country.

UP Diliman was followed by De La Salle University and Ateneo de Manila University, which secured the second and third ranking in the Philippines, respectively.

De La Salle is in 504th spot in Asia and 1,728th in the world, while Ateneo ranked 565th in Asia and 1,903rd in the world.

Meanwhile, the University of Santo Tomas (UST) and UP Los Baños landed in the fourth and fifth spots in the Philippine ranking.

UST secured the 834th ranking in Asia and 2,628 in the world while UP Los Baños placed 882nd in Asia and 2,774 in the world.
