DSWD: Donations received via Kaagapay Portal go directly to beneficiaries

Donations can now be made easily through the Department of Social Welfare and Development's new online platform.

Launched last month, the Kaagapay Donations Portal aims to send donations directly to accredited social welfare and development agencies, local government units engaged in humanitarian response during disasters and emergencies, and DSWD-managed centers and residential care facilities.

The portal also allows donations for DSWD's relief operations.

“Mas mabilis siya, sapagkat [if] cash donation, magtransfer ka lang from your ATM account or from PayMaya or GCash, and pupunta na sa account number ng DSWD or sa private account numbers po ng mga foundations or non-government organizations na registered po under DSWD,” DSWD Assistant Secretary Ana Maria Paz Rafael said in an interview on Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon.

(It would be faster because [if it is a] cash donation, you only have to make a transfer from your ATM account or from PayMaya or GCash, and it will go directly to the account number of the DSWD or the private account numbers of the foundations or non-government organizations registered under DSWD.)

The portal is accessible through https://kaagapay.dswd.gov.ph/donations.

Donors would be prompted to fully declare the amount of cash donations or the list of in-kind donations and specify which beneficiary would receive their donations.

Donors also have the option to request a certificate of donation. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
