4 missing foreigner hikers rescued in Negros Oriental


Four foreigners who went missing while hiking were rescued on Saturday in the mountainous area of Santa Catalina in Negros Oriental.

Four foreigners who went missing while hiking were rescued on Saturday in the mountainous area of  Barangay Silab, Amlan, Negros Oriental.

According to the Negros Oriental police authorities were able to locate them at 1:35 p.m. on March 22, 2025.

Once located, the hikers were immediately given medical attention. 

Authorities report that the hikers are in stable condition, though further details regarding their health will be provided in a spot report.

Behind the operation are the joint rescue team from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) 7, and local volunteers. —Sherylin Untalan/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
