Makabayan senatorial bets meet Robredo in Naga campaign


Three Makabayan senatorial candidates met with former vice president Leni Robredo and discussed their platform as they campaigned in her hometown Naga City in Camarines Sur.

“Makabayan candidates discussed their platform for higher wages, lower prices of goods, and access to basic social services with [former] Vice President Robredo. [Former] Vice President Robredo also shared her platforms and vision for Bicol, with the continuing commitment to end political dynasties and deeply-rooted corruption in the country,”  Makabayan said in a statement.

“Makabayan candidates and [former] VP Robredo emphasized their shared aspirations for change in the country,” it added.

The Makabayan coalition supported Robredo's 2022 presidential bid. 

Present in the Naga sortie on Friday were Liza Maza, Jerome Adonis and Alyn Andamo.  They were joined by Mimi Doringo later in the day.

The Makabayan bets also met with around 500 residents of Libmanan through local officials.

“Libmanan residents strongly agreed with Adonis and Doringo’s platforms on job creation and security, wages, housing, and agricultural development. They applauded the Makabayan Coalition’s stance on anti-corruption,” Makabayan said.

Meanwhile, 1 Rider party-list Rep. Bonifacio Bosita visited Nepa Q-Mart in Quezon City and offered free road safety seminars for interested individuals in Alcantara, Romblon on Sunday.

Retired Marine Colonel Ariel Querubin went around Greenhills in San Juan to campaign among the vendors and expressed his support for small entrepreneurs.

Candidates David D’Angelo, Norman Marquez, Angelo de Alban, and Norberto Gonzales attended the Pulsong Centro Senatorial Forum at Centro Escolar University.
