Comelec reminds of March 7 deadline for local absentee voter

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Friday reminded the public on the deadline for the filing of local absentee voting (LAV) for Eleksyon 2025.

According to the Comelec, the last day for the filing of LAV forms for eligible individuals should not be later than March 7.

Absentee voters in the Philippines include members of the  Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), and media practitioners whose duty falls during election day.

Government personnel, and members of the AFP and PNP should submit their forms before their heads of offices, supervisors, commanders, or officers next-in-charge.

Meanwhile, media personnel should lodge their LAV forms to the Office of the Regional Election Director for NCR, Office of the City Election Officer, or Office of the Provincial Election Supervisor.

The voting period for absentee voters will start on April 28 until April 30, 2025.
