Dizon swears in new DOTr officials

The shakeup in the upper management of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) following the appointment of its new secretary, Vince Dizon, has been completed.
On Thursday, Dizon swore into office the new senior officials of the DOTr, who were appointed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. last February 26 and 27.
The oath-taking of the new undersecretaries, assistant secretaries, and directors of the Transportation Department came days after Dizon asked incumbent officials, under the previous DOTr leadership, to tender their courtesy resignations.
Those who are newly sworn by Dizon include Giovanni Lopez as undersecretary for Administration, Finance, and Procurement replacing Jesus Nathaniel Martin Gonzales; Mark Steven Pastor as undersecretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure, replacing Jesus Ferdinand Ortega; Jim Sydiongco as undersecretary for Aviation and Airports, replacing Reberto Cecilio Lim; Ramon Reyes as undersecretary for Road Transport and Non-Infrastructure; and Dioscoro Reyes as assistant secretary for Road Transport and Non-Infrastructure, replacing Jose Lim IV.
Also taking their oaths were Teodorico Jose Delfin as undersecretary for Planning and Project Development, replacing Timothy John Batan; Raul Del Rosario as acting Director General and acting member of the Board of Directors of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP); and Villamor Ventura Plan as assistant secretary for Maritime, replacing Julius Yano.
Early this month, Dizon was appointed as the new secretary of the DOTr following the resignation of Jaime Bautista, who cited health reasons for stepping down from the helm of the agency. — Ted Cordero/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
