Erwin Tulfo leads latest SWS senatorial survey
ACT-CIS party-list lawmaker and broadcaster Erwin Tulfo maintained his lead among the senatorial candidates for the 2025 elections with 45% of intended votes in the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey released Wednesday, February 26.
The poll, conducted from February 15 to 19 or after the official campaign period started last February 11, also showed Senator Christopher “Bong” Go zooming in at second place with 38%, followed by fellow incumbent Senator Lito Lapid at close third with 36%.
Former Senate President Tito Sotto and broadcaster Ben Tulfo shared the fourth to fifth place with 34% score each.
Rounding up the Top 12 or the winners' circle were:
- Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr. with 33%
- Senator Pia Cayetano with 33%
- Former Senator Ping Lacson with 32%
- Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa with 32%
- Former Senator and former world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao
- Makati Mayor Abby Binay and
- Television host Willie Revillame with 30% each.
Ranking close to the top 12 were Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar with 29%, Senator Imee Marcos with 24%, former Senator Kiko Pangilinan with 22% and former Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos with 17%.
Go thanked his supporters and vowed to deliver efficient public service.
“Taus-puso ang aking pasasalamat sa patuloy na suporta at tiwala ninyo sa aking pagseserbisyo. Kung papalarin at mabibigyan ako ng bagong pagkakataong maglingkod sa bayan at maging representante ninyo sa Senado, lalo kong sisipagan ang pagseserbisyo sa kapwa ko Pilipino sa abot ng aking makakaya,” he said.
The SWS poll, commissioned by think-tank Stratbase, used face-to-face interviews with 1,800 registered voters aged 18 and above nationwide.
Of this number, 300 are in Metro Manila, 900 are in Balance Luzon (or Luzon outside Metro Manila), 300 are in the Visayas, and 300 are in Mindanao.
The sampling error margins are ±2.31% for national percentages, ±3.27% for Balance Luzon, and ±5.66% each for Metro Manila, the Visayas and Mindanao.
The area estimates were weighted by the Commission on Elections 2025 Project of Precincts data for validated voters to obtain the national estimates.—LDF, GMA Integrated News
