Protect Sara Duterte coalition launched in Davao City

Up to 79 groups that support Vice President Sara Duterte gathered in Davao City to launch the Protect VP Sara coalition.

More than 200 people attended the activity at the Orcullo Park in Roxas Avenue on Saturday, February 22, 2025, according to the Davao City Police Office (DCPO).

Some local musicians also offered entertainment during the program.

Participants wore green to show their support and express anew their opposition to the impeachment complaint against the vice president.

The groups said they will not stop staging rallies as they believe that the complaints against Duterte are baseless and politically motivated.

They also called on President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. to step down.

“Injustice kaayo ang gihimo karon sa House nga gina-impeach nila si VP Sara Duterte mao ng nag-file og petition sila Atty. Delgra, Atty. Acosta ug Atty. Torreon para ihunong sa SC aron i-question ang constitutionality,” former Mindanao Development Authority (MINDA) Chair, Mabel Acosta, said.

Prior to the activity at the park, the groups attended a Holy Mass and conducted a motorcade. — GMA Regional TV
