In a Facebook post, the Student Council Alliance of the Philippines (SCAP) urged other schools to suspend classes and work on February 25 to take part in the commemoration of EDSA People Power Revolution.
“Schools are not just institutions of learning; they are spaces where history, values, and democratic principles must be upheld. Declaring February 25 as a non-working day is more than a scheduling decision—it is a reaffirmation of our shared commitment to democracy, freedom, and justice,” SCAP said.
In 2024, the EDSA anniversary was also not declared a non-working day as it fell on a Sunday. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/BAP/AOL/VBL/KG, GMA Integrated News
