Marcos shows funny side, jokes about 'sustainable' love life

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on Tuesday poked fun at the Department of Social Welfare and Development's (DSWD) Sustainable Livelihood Program, saying that the initiative is not for those with broken hearts.
The government has been providing free technical-vocational and life skills training for the vulnerable and marginalized sectors under the SLP.
"Hindi po ito nangangahulugang 'Sustainable Lovelife Program,' ha? Baka kasi may magtanong, 'Sir, meron bang training para sa mga pusong laging nalulugi?' Iyan 'yung mga ano—'yung mga personalities without jowa. Nangunguna na diyan 'yung inyong kalihim," Marcos said in his speech, referring to DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian.
(This does not mean Sustainable Lovelife Program.) Maybe someone will ask, is there a training for those with broken hearts? Those were the personalities without partners. The first on the list is your Secretary.)
He even mentioned that Gatchalian has no time for his love life.
"Masyadong masipag itong ating Secretary. Wala nang panahon para mag-romansa," Marcos said.
(He's so industrious, he has no time for romance.)
Marcos further said that if the SLP is for attaining love, there will be a number of applicants for this program.
"'Yung invested ka na, pero wala pa ring label. Pero negosyo po ang tinututukan natin—hindi po puso," Marcos said.
(When you're already invested but there's still no label. But, we are focusing on business, and not on hearts.)
The SLP is a community-based program, which provides capacity-building support to improve the program participants' socio-economic standing. — VDV, GMA Integrated News
