VP Sara Duterte: Losing a partner more painful than impeachment
It is more painful to be left by your partner than to be impeached, Vice President Sara Duterte said Friday in an apparent dig at members of the House of Representatives.
Before ending her press conference, Duterte left a Valentine's Day message which she related to the lower chamber's move to impeach her.
"Mas masakit pa maiwan ng boyfriend o girlfriend kaysa ma-impeach ka ng House of Representatives," Duterte said.

With 215 lawmakers endorsing the complaint, the Lower House on Wednesday impeached Duterte and promptly transmitted the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate, which will serve as the impeachment court.
Senate President Francis "Chiz" Escudero said the impeachment court which will try Duterte has yet to be convened. The impeachment trial will only start once the Senate resumes session in June.
