Palace names new PCO undersecretary

A new undersecretary was appointed in the Presidential Communications Office, Acting Secretary Cesar Chavez said Monday.

Chavez told Palace reporters that Jorjette Barrenechea Aquino was appointed as undersecretary for Administration, Finance, and GOCCs, replacing Cherbett Karen Maralit.

The appointment paper was signed on January 23, 2025 by President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr.

Chavez said Aquino would focus on the rationalization plan (RatPlan) and digitalization of PTV4 under JICA assistance.

Chavez said Aquino previously served as Assistant Secretary for Rails in the Department of Transportation. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
