DMW warns vs fake call center agent job offers on social media

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) on Monday warned the public against a social media post offering fake call center agent jobs.

DMW said the fake job offers claim these would send victims to Thailand, Singapore, or Vietnam as “on-the-spot tourists”.

The victims would then travel to Cambodia, Myanmar, or Laos where they will work as online scammers.

The social media post also offers a basic salary of P28,000 to P45,000 with a two-year contract under a certain company called “CMB Group” that is supposedly based in Cambodia.

DMW advised the public to verify and scrutinize the job offers to avoid being victims of illegal recruiters.
