Marcos: Feast of Jesus Nazareno 'testament' to Pinoys' solidarity
The Feast of Jesus Nazareno is a testament of the Filipinos' solidarity and camaraderie, President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. said on Thursday.
Marcos joined the Catholic faithful in the observance of the Feast of Jesus Nazareno, saying that the historic tradition has placed in people's minds the strength that ''allows us to find harmony in our faith as a people.''
In his message, Marcos said carrying the image of the Jesus Nazareno and His own cross reminds us of the great sacrifice our Lord and Savior went through in His life.
''Moreover, it also speaks of the immense power and compassion of God who walks with us and hears our prayers, especially in our time of need,'' Marcos said.

''This colossal gathering of Filipinos in the streets of Manila is a testament to our people's solidarity and camaraderie," he added.
The President urged the public to hurdle the challenges that test their resolve with faith and grace as well as to reach out to those around them who need kindness and empathy amid the observance of the Feast.
Every Filipino has been able to epitomize the example of the Jesus Nazareno in their daily walks as hope bearers, peacemakers, and builders of society, Marcos believed.
The Traslacion began at 4:41 a.m. when the image of Jesus Nazareno left Quirino Grandstand in Manila.
