LIVE BLOG: Updates on Traslacion ng Poong Jesus Nazareno 2025

Every year on January 9 Catholic devotees join the Traslacion, the traditional grand procession of the image of Jesus Nazareno from Quirino Grandstand to the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Jesus Nazareno or Quiapo Church in Manila.

Ahead of the Traslacion, fiesta Masses were held in Quiapo Church starting at 3 p.m. on January 8.

The "pagpupugay" or "pahalik" for Jesus Nazareno also commenced on the evening of January 7, which drew thousands to the Quirino Grandstand.
