DA USec. DV Savellano's cause of death is abdominal aneurysm

Agriculture Undersecretary for Livestock Deogracias Victor "DV" Savellano passed away due to an abdominal aneurysm.

Boy Abunda reported the cause of death on Tuesday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," saying he got on a call with Savellano's wife, Dina Bonnevie.

An abdominal aortic aneurysm occurs when there is swelling in the aorta, which is the artery that carries blood from the heart to the abdomen.

"On behalf of the men and women of 'Fast Talk,' kami'y taos-pusong nakikiramay sa pamilya ni DV kay Dina Bonnevie. We will be praying for courage. We will be praying for your well-being," Tito Boy said.

"There will be announcements, I'm sure, kung ano pang mga ibang detalye. Kaya, sa mga kaibigan po, tayo'y antabayanan ho natin. Dina, you have our love. You have our love, and we will continue to pray."

Savellano previously served as Deputy House Speaker and Representative of the 1st District of Ilocos Sur, where he took part in forming the Sustainable Tobacco Enhancement Program (STEP) with NTA officials and stakeholders in 2020.
