LIST: Reminders for Traslacion in Nazareno 2025

The Quiapo Church on Friday reminded devotees to observe rules and regulations in the conduct of the Traslacion or the procession of the black image of Jesus Christ as part of the Feast of Jesus Nazareno.

In a press conference, feast adviser Alex Irasga shared the following reminders during the procession:

  • Do not climb the Andas or the carriage for the black image
  • Do not push other devotees
  • Do not bring too many belongings or bigas. If bringing a bag, transparent ones are preferable so they can be inspected more easily.
  • Do not forget to eat before Traslacion starts to have enough energy throughout the procession.
  • Do not use umbrellas, caps, or hoodies
  • Do not set up camping tents, tables, or other picnic items especially those who will stay overnight
  • Do not bring tumblers. Transparent water bottles are preferable.
  • Do not bring drone cameras, professional cameras, and selfie sticks
  • Do not bring portable appliances like stoves
  • Do not bring large bags
  • Do not bring alcoholic beverages
  • Do not bring food sticks
  • Do not bring pets
  • Devotees are allowed to throw handkerchiefs and wipe them on Jesus Nazareno image
  • Tugging of the rope connected to Andas should be done with order and care
  • Maintain the spirit of holiness during the Holy Mass and avoid causing disruption and distraction
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the Quiapo Church and Quirino Grandstand. Devotees should keep their trash and dispose of it in garbage bins.
