SWS: Marcos, Sara net trust down by 4 and 6 points respectively


 

The net trust ratings of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte have dropped by 4% and 6%, respectively, in the latest commissioned survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS).

The survey commissioned by Stratbase Consultancy showed that Marcos' trust rating dipped from 33% in September to 29% in December 2024.

The survey showed 98% were aware of Marcos; 54% said they had much trust, 19% were undecided, and 25% said they had little trust in him.

Sara Duterte's trust rating also suffered a decrease of 6% from 29% in September to 23% in December 2024.

The poll indicated 98% were aware of Sara; 52% said they had much trust, 17% were undecided, and 29% said they had little trust in her.

The survey was conducted from December 12 to 18,2024 via face-to-face interviews of 2,160 adults aging 18 years old and above.

 

The respondents were asked: "For the following, please indicate if your trust/faith in [Marcos/Duterte] is Very much, Somewhat much, Undecided if much or little, Somewhat little, Very little, or You have not heard or read anything about [Marcos/Duterte] ever?”

The sampling error margins are ±2% for national percentages, ±3% in Balance Luzon, and ±5% each for Metro Manila, the Visayas, and Mindanao. —NB
