Erwin Tulfo, Tito Sotto lead Pulse Asia Senate poll
ACT-CIS Representative Erwin Tulfo and former Senate president Vicente ''Tito'' Sotto III occupied the top two spots in the new senatorial preference survey by Pulse Asia.
Based on the survey conducted between November 26 and December 3, 2024, 14 Senate candidates have a statistical chance of winning any of the 12 seats up for grabs in the May 2025 elections.
Leading the group was Erwin Tulfo, who received a voter preference rating of 62.2%. He was followed by Sotto with 59.2%.
Senator Christopher ''Bong'' Go and broadcaster Ben Tulfo shared the third and fourth places with 54.7% and 52.7%, respectively.
Senator Pia Cayetano (46.5%) and former senator Manny Pacquiao (45%) could fall between fifth and ninth places if the elections were held during the survey period.
Former senator Panfilo Lacson (44.1%), television host Willie Revillame (43.6%), and Senator Ramon Bong Revilla Jr. (43.5%) could land in fifth to tenth.
Makati City Mayor Abby Binay could place between seventh and 14th with a voter preference rating of 40.1%.
Senators Lito Lapid (39.2%) and Imee Marcos (37.5%) were ranked 10th to 14th.
In 10th to 15th places were Senator Ronald ''Bato'' Dela Rosa (36.9%) and Las Piñas City Representative Camille Villar (36.5%).
Several answers were requested during face-to-face interviews with 2,400 adult respondents, Pulse Asia said.
It was Pulse Asia's first non-commissioned survey after the filing of certificates of candidacy in October.—VBL, GMA Integrated News
