Malacañang opens grounds to public for Misa De Gallo, other Christmas activities
Malacañang has opened its grounds in time for the Christmas season where everyone can enjoy various activities including attending the Misa De Gallo.
The Palace grounds will be open to the public starting December 16 until December 23, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., the Presidential Communications Office said.
The Catholic faithful can attend the Misa De Gallo from December 16 to 24 every 4 a.m. to 5 a.m.
After the Mass, everyone can take a bite of rice cakes and a sip of hot chocolate available from 5 a.m. to 6 a.m.
Further, the public can watch the nightly Christmas display every 6 p.m., and enjoy food along with free carnival rides until 11 p.m.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. earlier said that he wants Filipinos to enjoy the Christmas spirit this year following the series of typhoons that hit the country.
“And it is a joyful time for all the Filipinos. But as we celebrate, I would like to ask you to hold a thought for all those people who up to now are trying to recover from the effects of the six typhoons that we suffered in twenty-three days,” he said during the Christmas tree lighting event earlier. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
