‘Pinay’ is 3rd most searched term on Pornhub in 2024

“Pinay” is the third most searched term on the pornographic website Pornhub in 2024, according to its annual Year in Review.

The term “pinay” elevated its rank by two places compared to last year, earning the third spot for the first time.

It dethroned the term “lesbian” in the Top 3 searches on Pornhub.

“The word Pinay is a noun for a woman of Filipino origin or decent. The popularity of the term is likely in part due to the increasing number of viewers coming from the Philippines,” Pornhub said.

Meanwhile, “hentai” was hailed as the most searched term in Pornhub for the fourth year in a row since 2019.

Pornhub described hentai as a “type of content, which can include video game characters, anime style characters, and 3D animation.”

This was followed by the term “milf,” which maintained its Top 2 rank.

The Year in Review also showed that “pinoy” is the third most searched term for gay searches.

The term “twink” took the top spot, followed by “anime.”

Meanwhile, 59% of website's visitors in the Philippines are female, which is a growth of +1% since 2023.

The Year in Review recorded that 27% of traffic belongs to the 18 to 24 age group, which covers the majority of the traffic. This was followed by the 25-to-34 age group with 24%.

The Year in Review also noted that the combined age groups make up over half of Pornhub’s visitors, even after giving up -2 percentage points in 2024 to the over-35-year-old crowd.

Majority or 90.5% of people use their smartphones to access Pornhub.

“The countries with the most phone traffic include the Philippines in the lead, with a whopping 97% of all traffic coming from their phones,” the Year in Review said.
