Marcos likely to sign 2025 budget on December 20, PCO says
President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. is likely to sign the P6.352 trillion national budget plan for next year by December 20, 2024.
This was according to Presidential Communications Office Acting Secretary Cesar Chavez on Wednesday when asked when will the President sign the budget bill.
He, however, clarified that the date is still tentative.
Earlier, the bicameral conference committee approved the final version of the 2025 General Appropriations Bill (GAB) which contains the national budget plan for fiscal year 2025.
Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada said that the budget for the Office of the Vice President remained at P733 million.
Presidential Legislative Liaison Office Secretary Mark Leandro Mendoza earlier said Marcos would sign the budget bill before Christmas Day.
