Helicopter carrying Bong Go makes emergency landing in Rizal
A helicopter carrying Senator Bong Go made an emergency landing in Pililla, Rizal due to bad weather.
In a statement, Go said they were heading to Mabitac, Laguna for an event, but the pilot of the helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing in the mountainous area of Pililla due to zero visibility.
"Sa sobrang lakas ng ulan at kapal ng fog, muntik na naming matamaan ang windmills doon," Go said.
(Due to the heavy rain and thick fog, we almost hit the windmills there.)
"Pangatlong pagkakataon na ito na muntik na akong madisgrasya dahil sa pagtupad ko sa aking tungkulin bilang lingkod-bayan... Kapag oras mo na, oras mo na talaga. Salamat sa Diyos dahil sa kanyang pagprotekta sa amin," he shared.
(This is the third time I've nearly had an accident while fulfilling my duties as a public servant... When your time comes, it truly comes. Thank God for protecting us.)
In January last year, Go was aboard an aircraft that was stalled at a runway of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
