Comelec chairperson George Erwin Garcia led the poll body in demonstrating the ACMs at Manila High School in Intramuros, Manila. Other venues for the ACM nationwide roadshow kickoff include Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Region IV-B, Region IV-A, Region II, and Region VIII.@gmanews.tv>
Last week, the poll body said it delivered at least 2,000 ACMs to all barangays in the country in preparation for a roadshow caravan slated from December 2, 2024 to January 30, 2025. @gmanews.tv>
Garcia said the ACMs operated smoothly during the roadshow except for a machine in Mindanao, which recorded a malfunctioning screen. @gmanews.tv>
“Kaagad tinawagan ang PES (provincial election supervisor) para maipadala ang contingency machine. Hindi sya nabasag maaaring dahil sa haba at lugar kung saan dinala yan….Inaalam pa natin,” he said.@gmanews.tv>
Garcia also said some machines only arrived on Sunday evening due to delays in the delivery caused by the inclement weather. @gmanews.tv>
