Over 800 LGUs have integrated into e-LGU system
Government agencies said Monday that at least 838 local government units across the country have integrated into the e-LGU system.
According to the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), the Department of Interior and Local Government, and the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), they have significantly advanced the digital transformation of LGUs nationwide.
DICT Secretary Ivan John Uy expressed enthusiasm for the e-LGU System, stating that "This will significantly assist citizens by streamlining various government processes and eliminating the bureaucratic hurdles associated with traditional methods."
The DICT is anticipating that more LGUs will embrace the e-LGU system, enabling streamlined processes and benefiting even the smallest LGUs.
The e-LGU is also integrated with eGovPH SuperApp, a comprehensive mobile application designed to facilitate citizen-government interactions.
The said platform offers diverse services, including business permit licensing, barangay clearance, building permits, working permits, community tax certificates, occupational and health certificates, local civil registry needs, and other LGU online services. —KG, GMA Integrated News
