Marcos leads gift giving in residential caring institutions
President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. on Monday led two gift giving activities for victims of sexual abuse and those who have been placed under residential caring institutions.
Marcos visited the Marillac Hills - National Training School for Girls, a center that provides residential care and rehabilitation to minor girls who had been victims of sexual abuse and human trafficking.
The President also visited residential care centers or institutions that are under the Manila Department of Social Welfare (MDSW).
These were the Founding Home, Girls Home, Boys Home, Luwalhati ng Maynila under the Manila Boystown Complex (MBTC) and Manila Youth Reception and Action Center and RAC-KAMADA.
During his visit to the Manila Boystown, Marcos emphasized the government’s commitment to assisting needy Filipinos until they have recovered.
He said his Christmas wish was for every Filipino to have a prosperous and joyful season, especially the calamity victims.
Marcos provided 20 sacks of 50-kilo rice to Marillac Hills and 10 sacks for the Haven for Women.
He also gave food packs, medicines, vitamins, toiletries and infant supplies. —KG, GMA Integrated News
