Quiboloy transferred to Pasig jail — PNP
The Philippine National Police (PNP) has already transferred detained Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy to Pasig City Jail Male Dormitory on Wednesday afternoon.
“At about 5:05 p.m., PNP turned over the custody of Apollo Quiboloy to Pasig City Jail,” said PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo in a message to reporters.
The PNP said earlier in the day that the transfer stemmed from an order issued by a Pasig court on November 22.
The religious leader was first taken into custody at the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame in Quezon City. He was first brought to the Philippine Heart Center on November 8 after complaining of chest discomfort a day earlier.
The PNP said that a security convoy accompanied Quiboloy on the way to the Pasig detention facility.
Quiboloy, who calls himself as the "Son of God," is currently facing a non-bailable qualified human trafficking charge under Section 4(a) of Republic Act No. 9208, as amended, before a Pasig court.
He is also facing charges under Section 5(b) and Section 10(a) of Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
