Quiboloy transferred to Pasig jail — PNP
The Philippine National Police (PNP) has already transferred detained Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy to Pasig City Jail Male Dormitory on Wednesday afternoon.
“At about 5:05 p.m., PNP turned over the custody of Apollo Quiboloy to Pasig City Jail,” said PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo in a message to reporters.
The PNP said earlier in the day that the transfer stemmed from an order issued by a Pasig court on November 22.
The religious leader was first taken into custody at the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame in Quezon City. He was first brought to the Philippine Heart Center on November 8 after complaining of chest discomfort a day earlier.
The PNP said that a security convoy accompanied Quiboloy on the way to the Pasig detention facility.
Quiboloy, who calls himself as the "Son of God," is currently facing a non-bailable qualified human trafficking charge under Section 4(a) of Republic Act No. 9208, as amended, before a Pasig court.
He is also facing charges under Section 5(b) and Section 10(a) of Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act.
In Jun Veneracion’s Wednesday report on 24 Oras, Quiboloy's lawyer Atty. Israelito Torreon said the KOJC leader is “resilient” and “fighting.”
“How is he now? Resilient and fighting knowing that yung MR (motion for reconsideration) namin pending pa pero haharapin nya. Sabi nga nga niya, ‘If its the will of the father, I will follow’,” Torreon said.

Inside the Pasig City Jail, Quiboloy will stay in a holding cell for observation before he is transferred to a regular prison cell.
Quiboloy will be with the 35 other inmates in a 20-square-meter prison cell, which only has a five-person ideal capacity.
The Pasig City Jail currently has a 481% congestion rate.
“Hindi po natin pinahihintulutan yung mga special na treatment po na yun. Kahit na sino mang (Person Deprived of Liberty), wala exemption yun. So ganun din yung ibibigay natin kay PDL Quiboloy,” said Jail Senior Inspector Princess Miguel, spokesperson of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology National Capital Region.
