In Carlo Mateo’s report on Super Radyo dzBB, NBI Director Jaime Santiago said Duterte's video was not made up or generated using artificial intelligence (AI).
In the video, Duterte said she would have Marcos, Speaker Martin Romualdez, and First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos assassinated if she were killed.
Santiago added the Department of Justice has the NBI Cybercrime Division’s report on the veracity of the video.
On Saturday, the Vice President clarified that her “assassination” statement was not implied as a threat.
The statements were made during a virtual press conference where Duterte slammed the House of Representatives’ order to transfer her chief of staff, Atty. Zulieka Lopez, from the House detention facility to the Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong City.
Following Duterte’s tirade, the Presidential Security Command (PSC) implemented tighter security measures in the wake of Duterte's supposed threat, which it considered a "matter of national security."
The Philippine National Police also said it would also investigate Duterte's claims.
