Marcos highlights resiliency of Isabela residents amid tropical cyclones

President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. on Friday highlighted the resilience being displayed by the people of Isabela after a series of tropical cyclones hit the province.

Marcos went to Isabela to distribute Certificates of Land Ownership Awards (CLOAs) and Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgage (COCROMs) to beneficiaries.

In his speech, Marcos highlighted the endurance and unity of the residents in Isabela as they faced challenges posed by climate change.

(We know that a lot of our kababayans across the country and here in Isabela are trying to recover from the onslaught of the series of typhoons that hit the country.)

(Now, I see the resilience and the strong will of the people of Isabela to recover from these challenges.)

First responders

Meanwhile, Marcos ordered the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and other concerned government agencies to ensure the welfare of the first responders who have been on the frontlines whenever there are tropical cyclones.

During the aid distribution at the Ilagan City Community Center, Marcos expressed gratitude to first responders who endured challenges to serve and ensure the safety and welfare of the public amid the series of tropical cyclones that hit the country.

Kaya muli, tanggapin ninyo ang aking taos-pusong pasasalamat,” Marcos said.

(A number of tropical cyclones have already passed but you are still here to help, despite being tired and amid the bad weather. I salute your strength and endurance. Please accept my gratitude.)

(That’s why it has been part of my instruction to DSWD and other agencies to ensure that the welfare of our first responders are being taken care of.)

Marcos also encouraged the first responders “to continue their heroic deeds.”—AOL, GMA Integrated News
