Pasig court grants Quiboloy’s medical furlough extension
A Pasig City court on Friday granted the request of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy for an extension of his medical furlough until November 27 over dental issues.
“It was approved until Wednesday. Mataas na diskusyon po pero na-approved naman. There will be medical furlough for Pastor Apollo Quiboloy,” his lawyer Atty. Israelito Torreon said in an ambush interview after a hearing.
(It was a big discussion but the request was approved.)
“As to the details of which, I cannot disclose because I think you know the nature of the proceedings of this case,” he added.
Quiboloy's camp said the medical furlough was due to an infected dental implant.
“We requested for [an] extension of medical furlough because there are matters that have to be addressed too with respect to his dental operation, which affected his jaw. Merong infection po kasi yung kanyang dental implants,” Torreon said in an earlier interview.

The continuation of hearing on Quiboloy’s human trafficking case is set at a Pasig City court on Friday.
Quiboloy, who is detained at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center in Camp Crame in Quezon City, was brought to the Philippine Heart Center on November 8 after complaining about chest discomfort on November 7.
He returned to the detention facility on November 16.
A Pasig City court earlier dismissed the plea of the camp Quiboloy for a hospital arrest.
Quiboloy, a self-proclaimed "Son of God," is currently facing a non-bailable qualified human trafficking charge under Section 4(a) of Republic Act No. 9208, as amended, before a Pasig court.
He is also facing charges under Section 5(b) and Section 10(a) of Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act.
