Justice Fernanda Peralta takes oath as CA presiding justice

Associate Justice Fernanda Peralta on Monday took her oath of office as presiding justice of the Court of Appeals before President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

Peralta became the appeals court's acting presiding justice in September 2023 following the mandatory retirement of Presiding Justice Remedios Salazar Fernando. 

Peralta studied law at San Beda College in Mendiola and Far Eastern University. She became a certified public accountant in 1980 and passed the Bar exams in 1998. 

Her husband, retired Chief Justice Diosdado Peralta, was also present during the oathtaking. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/BM, GMA Integrated News
