PCO: Local chief execs to decide on class, work suspensions amid Super Typhoon Pepito
Amid the effects of Super Typhoon Pepito in various parts of the country, the Presidential Communications Office said that the decision to suspend classes and work in public offices is up to the heads of the local government of the affected areas.

"Upon consultation with the relevant government agencies and the NDRRMC, cancellation of classes and / or suspension of work in government offices is given to the respective local chief executives," the PCO said in a statement released Sunday afternoon.
The PCO said the decision was made after "taking into consideration the situation in their respective localities."
Super Typhoon Pepito is now over Quirino Province after it made its second landfall in the vicinity of Dipaculao, Aurora, PAGASA said Sunday afternoon.—RF, GMA Integrated News
