Court operations suspended in some areas due to Ofel, Pepito

Court operations in some areas are suspended on Friday, November 15 due to inclement weather brought by Typhoon Pepito and Severe Tropical Storm Ofel.
In separate posts on X (formerly Twitter), the Supreme Court (SC) said following courts suspended work:
- The Regional Trial Court (RTC) Calabanga, Camarines Sur, Branch 63 and the municipal trial courts (MTCs) under its administrative jurisdiction
- The RTC of San Jose, Camarines Sur and the MTCs and the municipal circuit trial courts (MCTCs) within its administrative jurisdiction
- All courts in RTC Naga City, Camarines Sur and all first level courts within its administrative supervision
- The Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC) in Naga City
- All RTC Branches and the Office Of The Clerk Of Court (OCC) in Santiago City, Isabela, and the MCTC Cordon-Dinapigue and Ramon-San Isidro, Isabela
- RTC Branch 64 Labo, MTC Labo, MCTC Capalonga-Sta. Elena, MTC Jose Panganiban, and MTC Paracale, Camarines Norte
- RTC Iriga City, MCTC Nabua-Bato, MTC Buhi, Baao and Balatan
- All courts in the Libmanan Administrative Area
- RTC Catarman, Northern Samar and all first level courts within its jurisdiction
Signal No. 1 remained raised over several areas on Friday.
Classes and work in government offices for Friday, November 15, 2024, have also been suspended in some areas.
PAGASA earlier announced that Severe Tropical Storm Pepito intensified into a typhoon on Friday morning ahead of its expected landfall. Typhoon Ofel, meanwhile, weakened into a severe tropical storm.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
