Detained Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Apollo Quiboloy was briefly transferred to Philippine Children’s Medical Center from Philippine Heart Center in Quezon City for some tests, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said Thursday.

PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo said Quiboloy was brought to the children’s hospital around 8:49 p.m. on Wednesday and returned to the heart center around 9:10 p.m.

“Pursuant to order from the court ay dinala po mga around 8:49 p.m. kagabi si Pastor Apollo Quiboloy from the Philippine Heart Center ay dinala po siya sa Philippine Children's Hospital magkalapit lang naman po yan to undergo some tests that would require the use of a certain equipment,” she said in a press briefing.

(Pursuant to the order from the court, Quiboloy was brought to Philippine Children’s Hospital from Philippine Heart Center around 8:49 p.m. last night for some tests that would require the use of a certain equipment.)

“Around 9:10 po ay naibalik na rin po siay Philippine Heart Center (Around 9:10 p.m., he was brought back to the Philippine Heart Center.)

Based on the order from Pasig City Court, Quiboloy is expected to return to his cell at the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame by 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Quiboloy was brought to the Philippine Heart Center in Quezon City on November 8 after complaining about chest discomfort on November 7, according to the PNP.

Initially, the PNP Health Service conducted an examination on Quiboloy and found out that he was suffering from “atrial fibrillation in rapid ventricular response” or “irregular heartbeat.”

Due to this, Fajardo said the PNP Health Service recommended further checkup on Quiboloy and his camp also filed an urgent petition to take the KOJC leader to the hospital.

A Pasig City court earlier dismissed the plea of the camp Quiboloy for his hospital arrest.

Quiboloy, a self-proclaimed "Son of God," is currently facing a non-bailable qualified human trafficking charge under Section 4(a) of Republic Act No. 9208, as amended, before a Pasig court.

He is also facing charges under Section 5(b) and  Section 10(a) of Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act.
