Marcos thanks Singapore for sending aid to Kristine victims

Marcos day expressed gratitude to the government of Singapore for extending help to the Philippines for Kristine victims.

President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. on Thursday expressed gratitude to the government of Singapore for extending help to the Philippines during the onslaught of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.

This, as Marcos had a phone conversation with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.

“The Philippines sends our heartfelt gratitude and we look forward to deepening our ties and creating even more ways to support each other across the region,” Marcos said.

“We discussed sustaining this partnership—from humanitarian aid to tackling climate challenges—all within the framework of ASEAN cooperation,” the President added.

Marcos said Singapore’s immediate assistance made a significant difference for many Filipinos who have been affected in areas hit by Kristine.

The Presidential Communications Office said Singapore was one of four Southeast Asian countries which helped the country during Kristine's onslaught.

Singapore sent a military aircraft to the Philippines last October 26.
