Voters for 2025 Eleksyon now at 68M —Comelec

The number of registered voters for the 2025 national and local elections (NLE) and Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections reached more than 68 million, according to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) 

Data shared to reporters showed as of October 31, the voters for next year’s polls tallied at 68,618,667. Of the figures, a total of 33,690,884 were male and 34,927,783 were female. A total of 1,667 office of election officers (OEO) received the registrations. 

Region IV-A (Calabarzon) recorded the highest number of registrants with 9,764,170. It was followed by Region III (Central Luzon) with 7,712,535; National Capital Region with 7,562,858; and Region I (Ilocos Region) with 3,651,539. 

Cordillera Administrative Region recorded the lowest registrants with 1,111,859.

The voter registration period for the May 2025 midterm polls started on February 12, and ended on September 30. It was extended in Batanes to October 1, however, after the local Comelec office in the province suspended the last day of registration due to inclement weather brought about by Typhoon Julian. —AOL, GMA Integrated News
