SC declares half-day for courts amid All Saints’ Day, All Souls’ Day activities
The Supreme Court (SC) has suspended work in courts from noon onwards on Thursday, October 31 in light of the observance of All Saints' Day and All Souls’ Day.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the High Court announced that work in the SC, the Court of Appeals, the Sandiganbayan, the Court of Tax Appeals, and all first and second-level courts nationwide will be suspended starting 12 p.m.

This is to allow justices, judges, officials, and court personnel to observe Undas activities.
However, the SC said that first and second-level courts and offices should be accessible to lawyers, court users, or litigants through their contact numbers or email addresses until 5 p.m. today.
All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day have been declared as special non-working days.
Malacañang has also suspended work in government offices and classes at all levels from noon onwards.
Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has suspended the expanded number coding scheme in Metro Manila from Thursday to Friday.
Several roads leading to North Cemetery in Manila and South Cemetery in Makati will also be closed starting Wednesday until Sunday.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
