UP Diliman grad tops electronics engineers licensure exam
A graduate of the University of the Philippines Diliman achieved the highest score in the electronics engineers licensure examination held earlier this month, while two people tied for the top spot in the electronics technicians licensure exam.
Both exams were given by the Board of Electronics Engineering in test centers in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
According to the Professional Regulation Commission, 999 out of 2,172 passed the electronics engineers exam, with Patrick John Gabuna Santisidad of UP Diliman scoring 91.90% to lead the pack.
The top performing school with 30 or more test takers is Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, with a passing rate of 88.57%.
In the same statement, the PRC said that 1,126 out of 1,591 passed the exam for electronics technicians, with Niele Shem Geronimo Bañas of the Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas and Ivan Victor Juvida Lau of Mapua University Manila tying for top spot with a score of 93.00% each.
The top performing school with 30 or more test takers was again Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, with a 100% passing rate this time.
In addition to these, 47 test takers passed the technical evaluation for upgrading to professional electronics engineers, given by the Board of Electronics Engineering in test centers in Metro Manila and Doha, Qatar. They are:
