Quiboloy abused 200 women, wanted to be like Solomon —Davao police

Quiboloy abused 200 women Solomon wives concubines

The Philippine National Police (PNP) in Davao Citysaid Wednesday that Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Apollo Quiboloy has sexually abused 200 women over the years—an accusation that the pastor denied.

Speaking before a Senate committee investigating Quiboloy and his group's alleged abuses, Police Colonel Hansel Marantan said the PNP had so far identified 68 individuals of different ages who were alleged victims of Quiboloy’s sexual exploitation.

“His victimization continued repeatedly through the years and by generation,” the Davao police chief said.

“Through his preachings with the inner pastorals, per narrative of the former pastorals, Quiboloy aimed to acquire 1,000 women anchored on the biblical story of Solomon, King of Israel, who had 700 wives and 300 concubines,” he added.

According to Marantan, Quiboloy engaged in a “strict fellowship” with the inner pastorals to “brainwash them of the purpose of illegal acts.”

The police official also presented in the Senate hearing photos of Quiboloy’s bedroom in a bible school where the sexual exploitation was perpetrated often.

The pastor, who was present during the same hearing, denied the sexual abuse allegations, urging those implicating him to file a case against him.

“Wala pong katotohanan iyong kanilang mga sinabi. Maaari po sila mag-file ng kaso. Haharapin ko po sa tamang forum, sa korte,” Quiboloy said.

(There is no truth to what they said. They may file a case. I will face the charges in the right forum, in court.)

“Itinatanggi ko po [ang mga akusasyon]. Wala pong katotohanan. Wala pong katotohanan. Hinahamon ko po sila na mag-file ng kaso laban sa akin o kanino man na KOJC leader or member,” he added.

(I deny the accusations. There is no truth [to them]. They are not true. I dare them to file a case against me or any KOJC leader or member.)

Quiboloy, who is detained at the PNP Custodial Center at Camp Crame, is facing a non-bailable qualified human trafficking charge under Section 4(a) of Republic Act No. 9208, as amended, before a Pasig court.

He is also facing charges under Section 5(b) and  Section 10(a) of Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act.
