Former Vice President Leni Robredo warned the public about a fake number using her name and asking for donations for victims of TS Kristine

Former Vice President Leni Robredo warned the public about a fake number using her name and asking for donations for victims of Tropical Storm Kristine.

“Bako po ako ini. Saro lang number ko and mayo ako nin Messenger,” said Robredo on a Facebook post on Wednesday.

(I am not that person. I only have one number and I don't have a Messenger account.)

She clarified that she or anyone from "Angat Buhay" or her Naga Team cannot accept cash donations as part of their transparency policies.

“For all cash donations, we have authorized only Kaya Natin to receive for us para may transparency and accountability,” added Robredo.

“Kaya po dai mag tubod sa nagpapanggap na ako or any Angat Buhay team member,” she added.

(Please don't obey/believe those pretending to be me or any Angat Buhay team member.)

Naga is currently under Signal No. 1 and may expect winds of 39 kph to 61 kph or intermittent rains over the next 36 hours due to the impacts of Tropical Storm Kristine.

Three people were reported dead in Bicol Region due to the impact of Tropical Storm Kristine, according to the Police Regional Office 5 (PRO5) on Wednesday.

A total of 382,302 individuals or 77,910 families have been affected by Kristine in Bicol, Western Visayas, Eastern Visayas, and Zamboanga Peninsula, according to the  National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

Of the affected population, 12,334 people or 3,095 families were staying in evacuation centers while 364 people or 96 families were taking shelter in other places.
