Quiboloy arrives at Senate for probe on alleged abuses
Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Apollo Quiboloy arrived at the Senate on Wednesday morning to attend the hearing on the abuses being linked to him and his religious group.
It will be the first time for Quiboloy to face the Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality since it started its investigation in December 2023.
According to Nimfa Ravelo’s report on Super Radyo dzBB, Quiboloy was brought to the holding room of the Senate sergeant-of-arms while waiting for the hearing to start at 10 a.m.
The convoy of Quiboloy left the Philippine National Police Custodial Center at Camp Crame in Quezon City at around 8:37 a.m.

Meanwhile, his co-accused — Jackielyn Roy, Cresente Canada, Paulene Canada, Ingrid Canada, and Sylvia Cemane — had also arrived at the Senate and were brought to a separate holding room.
Quiboloy is facing a non-bailable qualified human trafficking charge under Section 4(a) of Republic Act No. 9208, as amended, before a Pasig court. He is also facing charges under Section 5(b) and Section 10(a) of Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act.
According to Nimfa Ravelo's report, one of the seven witnesses against Quiboloy and the others has also arrived.
Despite his legal troubles, Quiboloy is running for senator in the 2025 elections. —Joahna Lei Casilao/KBK, GMA Integrated News
